In the business of institutional advancement, two facts are primary: you need to know which of the many people in your data base to approach for gifts, and you need to know how much they can give. A Biographical Profile will give you information on basic family information, work history, community activities, suggested personal contacts, and financial capability.

While many organizations in the private sector have prospect research programs, the extra work is often prohibitive for the regular research staff. Waltman Associates can eliminate the need for hiring extra staff and give you expert prospect research in record time.

Gearing up for a capital campaign?

There's always extra work in preparing for that big campaign, whether it's for $1 million or $200 million. You'll need three suspects for every prospect, and threeprospects for every gift...and that can spell extra years in research hours. We recommend that you begin the research process 1-2 years before you make the first fund-raising call. Rather than hiring extra staff, you can contract with us to get a head start on your list.

Pondering a large research project?

Perhaps you have a large list to research on a short-term basis, and you have neither the space nor the staff to complete the project. We can complete the research in less time than it takes to train a new staff member, and at a lesser cost.

Fees

Profiles Cost
1- 49 $200.00 per person
50 or more $150.00 per person

Expenses such as probate court costs, D&B reports, on-line searching and charges for out-of-state libraries are billed in addition to the above fees.

Time

Most research reports can be completed in 5-10 working days. You will be consulted about your deadline. Lists of 20 or more prospects may take longer.

Ethics

We subscribe to the ethical standards endorsed by the American Prospect Research Association. We will not contact the prospect directly or consult any information which is not in the public domain. Your prospect list will not be revealed to any third party, and we will consult no sources by which the prospect can discover the search.
